Dear iGO friends,

I want to invite you to attend the upcoming 2021 iGO Mid Winter Conference.  The conference will be January 22-28, 2021 at the beautiful Renaissance Phoenix/Glendale Hotel located in Glendale, Arizona.  We have been busy planning an outstanding event with lots of education and networking opportunities and hopefully a little fun as well!

The theme for this conference is:  “iGO – An Education and Networking Oasis in the Desert!” I hope you are as excited as I am about the quality educational and networking opportunities available to each of us at this conference and as members of iGO!

Thank you for your membership in iGO! We truly value each member, and your knowledge and expertise make us a stronger association.  I encourage you to make the most of your membership by attending this conference, join a committee, learn, and meet other government professionals from across the country and world.  If you haven’t yet had a chance to renew your membership for 2021, you can do so when you submit your conference registration.

The Renaissance Hotel and the Glendale/Phoenix area are wonderful places to visit, and January is one of the best times of the year to be there! The mild winter temperatures will be a wonderful break for those of us who typically battle snow and cold temperatures that time of year. The hotel is adjacent to the Arizona Cardinals Stadium and an entire entertainment/shopping/food/nightlife area has built up within easy walking distance of the hotel.  For those who like to visit casinos, there is one located just minutes away.  I think everyone will find something they like to do.  Travel to and from the hotel will be easy as the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is close by and there are many sight-seeing opportunities within an easy drive from the hotel. 

I know the pandemic has caused most events to be cancelled in 2020.  We are excited to resume gathering in person and have worked hard with the hotel to create space for social distancing and other precautions to help protect everyone’s health and safety during our conference. We are expecting a great turnout so I want to encourage you to make your room reservation and get your registration form in soon!
